Delivery & timing
Can you deliver a porta potty today?
Same-day delivery is available in Alexandria and all of Douglas County when you call (320) 205-2410 by noon. Towns 26–50 miles out need a call by 11 AM; towns 51–80 miles out by 10 AM. Same-day details.
Can I get a porta potty delivered tomorrow?
Next-day delivery is routine anywhere in our 80-mile area. Book by the end of the business day and the unit goes out on the first route the next morning, with no rush fee.
How far ahead should I book to avoid extra fees?
Book at least 2 days ahead for a normal week and you will never see a same-day fee. For graduation weekends, July 4th and big local weekends, book 2 to 3 weeks ahead.
How far in advance should I book for a wedding?
Book a restroom trailer 1 to 3 months before a summer wedding. Standard and deluxe units usually need 2 to 3 weeks. Fall weddings in September book up almost as fast as June.
My event is Saturday. When will the unit arrive and leave?
Weekend event units arrive Thursday or Friday and are picked up Monday. The extra days are part of the event price, not added days.
Why do you deliver before the event day instead of the morning of?
Delivering a day early means a flat tire or a late route never costs you your event. The unit is waiting, locked if you like, before guests arrive.
Can you guarantee a delivery time, like before 9 AM?
Exact times cannot be guaranteed because routes change through the day. Delivery runs 7 AM to 7 PM, we note your preferred time, and early-morning events get delivery the day before.
Will the driver call before arriving?
The driver calls about 30 minutes before arrival at the number you give us, so give a phone that someone will answer on delivery day.
Do I have to be there for delivery or pickup?
You do not need to be there. Describe the exact spot when you book (for example, "left of the garage, on the gravel") and the driver places it there.
Can I drop off and pick up on the same day as a short event?
Same-day drop-off and pickup is not standard. Units arrive the business day before and leave the business day after, at no extra cost.
Can I pick up a porta potty myself from your yard?
Units are delivered only. Our trucks have the lift equipment and the waste tank needed to move a unit safely and sanitarily.
How soon can a long-term jobsite unit arrive?
Jobsite units usually go out the same day in Douglas County or the next business day elsewhere. A Friday afternoon call typically means Monday morning delivery.
Placement & access
Where can the porta potty be placed?
Any level, firm surface the truck can reach within about 25 feet: lawn, driveway edge, gravel, concrete or a parking lot. You need about 4 by 4 feet for a standard unit.
Can the driver carry the unit through my gate into the backyard?
Drivers will not carry or dolly a unit through gates or into backyards. A used unit is full of liquid and too heavy to bring back out safely. A driveway or side yard works best.
Can it go on my front lawn if my driveway slopes?
A level patch of lawn is fine. The unit must sit level so the door closes and the tank does not slosh.
Can I put a porta potty on the street in front of my house?
Private property is simplest. A unit on a city street, boulevard or sidewalk usually needs city approval, so check with city hall first.
What access details should I tell you?
Tell us about gate codes, locked gates, low wires or branches under 10 feet, soft or wet ground, narrow lake lanes and where the truck can turn around. If an obstruction blocks delivery, a return trip fee can apply.
My site has no street address. How do you find it?
Send a map pin or GPS coordinates, plus a landmark like "third field approach past the red barn." The office adds placement notes for the driver.
Do you need the exact address to give a price?
A ZIP code gives an accurate estimate. The exact address confirms the route and any trip charge for sites farther than 25 miles.
Can a porta potty go on a lake lot near the water?
A unit can go on a lake lot, set back from the shoreline and your well on level ground. Check shoreland setbacks with your county if you are unsure. See the lake cabin placement guide.
Should the unit face a certain way?
Face the door away from the wind and toward the path guests use, and keep it at least 20 feet from food tables. For privacy at a home, face it away from the street.
Units
What's the difference between a standard and a deluxe porta potty?
A standard unit has a toilet over a holding tank, a urinal, paper and hand sanitizer. A deluxe unit adds a foot-pump flush and a sink with soap and a mirror. Compare units.
Do standard units have both a toilet and a urinal?
Every standard unit has a toilet seat and a separate urinal in one private room with a locking door.
Can I get separate men's and women's units?
Rent two units and we can mark them men and women, or choose a 2-stall restroom trailer with two private rooms.
Do you have a flushing porta potty?
The deluxe flushing unit has a foot-pump flush and sink with on-board fresh water. Restroom trailers have real flushing toilets.
Does a unit with a sink need a water hookup or drain?
The deluxe unit and hand washing station carry their own fresh water and gray water tanks. Neither needs a hookup, drain or power.
Do you have wheelchair-accessible units?
Our wheelchair-accessible unit has a ground-level floor, grab bars and a 60-inch turning space. Public events need at least 1.
Do you rent hand washing stations?
Our two-sink hand washing station comes stocked with soap and towels and needs no hookup.
Do standard units come with hand sanitizer?
Every standard unit includes a hand sanitizer dispenser, refilled on each service visit at no extra charge.
What does a restroom trailer need?
A level spot about 8 by 14 feet, truck access to back it in, a garden hose and a dedicated 110-volt outlet. No sewer hookup. Trailer details.
Can I see photos of the units?
Every unit page has real photos of our units. If you want a specific angle, ask and we text it.
Are event units different from construction units?
Event units are kept for parties and weddings, so they arrive with clean, unmarked walls. Jobsite units are built for weekly-serviced, heavy daily use.
Do the units have lights?
Standard units have a translucent roof that lights the inside during the day. For evening events, ask about battery lights or a restroom trailer.
Cleaning & servicing
Is cleaning included?
Long-term rentals include weekly service: tank pump-out, scrub, sanitize and restock. Event units arrive clean and stocked and rarely need service over a weekend.
What happens during a service visit?
The technician pumps the tank, adds fresh blue deodorizer, scrubs and sanitizes the seat, urinal, walls and floor, and refills toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Can I choose which day it gets serviced?
Pick your service day when you book, and it stays the same every week.
Can I get service every other week to save money?
Every-other-week service is available for light-use sites like weekend cabins or hunting camps. Busy households and crews should stay weekly to control odor.
Can I get an extra cleaning before a big day?
Call or text and we add a visit. Extra visits are $65 per unit, shown before we go.
Do you service porta potties I already own?
We can pump and clean customer-owned units on our routes. Call with the location and how often you need it.
Will the porta potty smell?
A serviced unit with deodorizer and roof vents stays fresh for its rated use. Odor comes from overuse, so the right unit count and weekly service matter most.
Do you provide a written service agreement for a permit?
We email a written agreement listing units, service frequency and dates, which most permit offices accept.
Pricing & billing
How much is a porta potty rental for a weekend event?
A standard event unit starts at $165, delivered before the weekend and picked up Monday. Deluxe flushing starts at $285, accessible units at $225. Full price list.
How much is a porta potty for a month?
A long-term standard unit starts at $175 per 28-day cycle with weekly service. Accessible units start at $245 and hand washing stations at $150 per 28 days.
How much is a restroom trailer?
A 2-stall restroom trailer starts at $1,295 for a weekend, with delivery, setup, stocking and pickup.
Is the price all-inclusive?
The quote includes the unit, delivery, pickup, stocking and any included service. Sales tax, any trip charge past 25 miles and any same-day fee appear as their own lines before you pay.
Do you charge a fuel surcharge or pickup fee?
We do not charge a fuel surcharge or a pickup fee, ever.
Is delivery charged per unit?
One trip charge covers every unit on the same delivery, so adding units does not add delivery fees.
How does long-term billing work?
Long-term rentals bill every 28 days and renew at the same price until you call for pickup. A cycle is not prorated.
Is a 28-day rental prorated if I need it for 5 days?
A 28-day cycle is billed in full. For short jobs, ask us to compare it against the event rate and we quote the cheaper option.
Is a 3-day event priced differently than a 1-day event?
Event pricing covers delivery through pickup, so a 1-day and a 3-day weekend event cost the same.
Is there a deposit?
Standard rentals are paid by card at booking with no separate deposit. Restroom trailers are paid in full to hold the date.
Can I get a written quote to share with my board or spouse?
We text or email an itemized quote you can forward, usually within minutes of your call.
We are a church or nonprofit. Are we tax-exempt?
Send your Minnesota exemption certificate when you book, and tax is removed from the invoice.
Is contractor pricing different from homeowner pricing?
The price list is the same for everyone. Approved contractors can be billed by invoice.
Do you price match?
Send a written local quote for the same unit, dates and service, and we review it. We do not match quotes that leave out delivery, pickup or service.
Rental length & pickup
How long can I keep an event unit?
An event rental covers delivery the business day before through pickup the business day after, usually Thursday or Friday to Monday.
How long can I keep a monthly unit?
As long as you need it: a few weeks, a season or a full year. It renews every 28 days.
How do I end a long-term rental?
Call or text before your next 28-day cycle starts. We schedule pickup and billing stops.
Can I keep a porta potty all summer at my house or cabin?
A summer-long rental runs on 28-day cycles with service included, from Memorial Day to Labor Day or any dates you choose.
Can I rent one for a 2-week camping trip or hunting camp?
A 2-week stay is handled as one 28-day cycle; call for pickup when you leave.
Can you pick up early on Monday so it's not in the park long?
Ask when you book. We can put early-route pickup on the order for park and public sites.
Events & weddings
How many porta potties do I need for my guests?
Plan 1 standard unit per 50 guests for each 4 hours. Add 1 for every 4 when alcohol is served. Use the calculator.
Should I rent one if we already have bathrooms in the house?
For more than about 30 guests, an outdoor unit keeps mud, pool water and traffic out of the house and protects a septic system from overload.
What's best for a wedding?
For a 5–6 hour reception with a bar: 3 standard units for up to 50 guests, 5 for up to 100, or a 2-stall restroom trailer for about 100 guests. Wedding setups.
Can I lock the unit until the party starts?
Every unit locks. We can leave it locked with the key where you tell us.
Can I put a porta potty in a public park?
Most parks require city or park office permission first. The renter is responsible for the unit until pickup, so keep it locked overnight.
Do you have availability for July 4th and graduation weekends?
Those weekends fill first. Book 2 to 3 weeks ahead to get the units you want.
Do food stands need a hand washing station?
Minnesota requires hand washing with water, soap and towels at food stands; sanitizer alone does not count. Food stand rules.
Construction & jobsites
How many porta potties does OSHA require on a jobsite?
OSHA 1926.51 requires 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers, and 1 seat plus 1 urinal per 40 workers above 20. OSHA rules in Minnesota.
I'm remodeling and my plumbing is off. Can I rent a jobsite unit?
Homeowners rent the same jobsite units on 28-day terms. Bathroom remodels and septic repairs are two of the most common reasons homeowners rent.
Can you quote toilets and hand washing stations together?
A single itemized quote covers every unit and station on one delivery, with one trip charge.
What if a storm knocks the unit over?
Call us and we set it upright and clean it. If we staked or strapped it, there is no charge. Tip-overs caused by people or equipment are $95 per unit.
Do you invoice contractors?
Approved contractors can be billed by invoice on each 28-day cycle. Homeowners pay by card.
Permits, damage & weather
Do I need a permit for a porta potty?
A unit on your own private property normally needs no permit. Streets, right-of-way and public parks usually need city or county approval.
What if the unit is damaged or vandalized?
The renter is responsible for the unit while it is on site. Damage beyond normal use is billed at repair cost, as listed in our rental terms.
Do porta potties freeze in winter?
Tanks can freeze in Minnesota cold, so winter units get salt brine in the tank. Winter rentals.
What if the driver can't reach the spot?
The driver places the unit at the nearest safe, level spot and calls you. If delivery is impossible because of an undisclosed obstruction, a return trip fee can apply.
Do spring road limits affect delivery?
Spring load limits on gravel township roads can move service to early morning. Spring road guide.
