What are spring load limits?
Spring load restrictions are seasonal weight limits Minnesota places on roads while frost leaves the ground, usually from mid or late March into May. MnDOT sets dates by frost zone for state roads. County, city and township roads set their own limits, often 5 tons per axle on gravel.

How do load limits affect porta potty service?
A loaded pump truck is heavy. On posted gravel roads during spring restrictions, we may schedule service early in the morning while the road is still frozen, or service from the nearest paved road. Paved state and county highways are rarely affected.
How can I avoid missed service in spring?
Place spring units as close to a paved or firm road as practical, tell us if your road is posted, and keep a firm path to the unit. Plywood under the truck's last few feet of travel and under the unit prevents sinking on thawed ground.
