What comes in a standard porta potty?
A standard porta potty comes with a toilet seat over a 60-gallon holding tank, a separate urinal, a toilet paper holder with spare rolls, a hand sanitizer dispenser, a coat hook, roof vents for airflow and a door lock with an occupied sign. It arrives pumped, washed, sanitized and stocked.

How big is a standard porta potty?
The standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide, 47 inches deep and 91 inches tall, and weighs about 160 pounds empty. Its 60-gallon tank is rated by manufacturers at about 200 uses between services. It needs no water or power, and it fits a level spot about 4 by 4 feet.

Will a standard porta potty fit through my gate?
A standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide, so it needs a gate wider than 4 feet plus room for two people to move it. Our drivers do not carry units through gates or into a backyard, because a used unit is too heavy to bring back out. Plan a spot the truck can reach.
When is a standard unit the right choice?
A standard porta potty is the right choice for jobsites, graduation parties, reunions, farm crews, cabin projects and festivals where guests do not expect a sink. It is the wrong choice when the event is formal, when food handlers need running water, or when a guest uses a wheelchair.
For those, see the deluxe flushing unit, hand washing station or wheelchair-accessible unit.
